Reservations & Bookings

For all reservations and detailed information about our published Expeditions, please visit Us online at www.JulesVerne.Tours. To arrange a Private Group Expedition, You may also contact Us directly at CustomerCare@JulesVerne.Tours. By booking, You agree to accept and follow the T&C, policies, and rules outlined in Your agreement, and any additional T&C unique to Your specific Expedition. You also agree to follow directions and instructions outlined in Your Travel Itinerary by Us, Your Guides, or our Staff.

Travel Itinerary

A Travel Itinerary, as appropriate and necessary, will be available reasonably soon after You book Your Scheduled, Group, Private, or Custom Expedition. Depending on the type and timing of Your Expedition, we may email, deliver, or postal mail this to You. We ONLY provide this to the “Responsible Party”—the individual who planned, arranged, discussed with us, and to our knowledge, purchased the tickets or arranged the Group/Private/Custom Expedition. If You do not receive it within 2 weeks before the Expedition, please contact Us!

It will provide more detail about the Expedition. It will also instruct You in any Transport, Lodging, or other details that You MUST arrange/book/pay for. Particularly for non-Scheduled or “To the Ends of the Earth” type specialty Expeditions, there will likely be significant charter costs, possible delays, timing issues, and things that need to be arranged for Your payment. You agree that if You do not confirm that You have received this Itinerary, You bear responsibility for any issues, loss, or problems You experience and hold Us harmless.

Passports, Visas, and Travel Documents

You must ensure You possess the necessary travel documents, including passports and/or visas. While some countries We may visit do not require visas, it is Your responsibility to verify requirements for Your specific itinerary. We do not provide visa or passport assistance.

Also: optional or local interpretive Events or Tours are not included in our Price or insurance. We are a small, local company that seeks to support indigenous and local peoples and economies. This helps set Us apart from large, impersonal travel corporations. You hold Us harmless for all of these. You are covered ONLY by Your Travel Insurance, Your Medical/Disability Insurance, and/or any Third Party insurance available or in force.
  3. NOT Covered by Our Insurance: Any time You are not with the entire Group, traveling to/from the place(s) of the Expedition, traveling BETWEEN Official, Our Planned stops/destinations, staying at lodging, or any other place. You hold Us harmless for all of these. You are covered ONLY by Your Travel Insurance, Your Medical/Disability Insurance, and/or any Third Party insurance available or in force.

Pricing and Payment

Published prices are subject to change due to external factors such as currency fluctuations and fuel surcharges. However, once Your final payment has been made, the price is fixed. Payment for Private Group Expeditions must be negotiated and paid prior to departure. Acceptable payment methods include cash, PayPal, major credit cards (with applicable fees), and money orders from recognized banks. All payments must be made in U.S. dollars unless otherwise specified. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure all group reservations. Scheduled Trips (tickets) require full payment at the time of purchase. Specific payment terms for custom Expeditions will be detailed in quotes and proposals for those journeys.

Refunds and Cancellations

Cancellation fees are based on the proximity of the cancellation date to the departure date:

  • 150 or more days before departure: 30% of the trip price
  • 60 to 149 days before departure: 50% of the trip price
  • 0 to 59 days before departure: 100% of the trip price

These fees apply to our Guide fees (our published price); there are no Refunds for any reason after this unless We cannot provide the Expedition. We go rain or shine. Fees related to transport, lodging, and other services You were to book separately are subject to their respective cancellation policies. We are not responsible for any difficulties with Your transport/lodging/other services that You booked separately. Again, travel insurance is highly recommended and is Your sole recourse.
